FAQs
- I'm already a certified Open Water Diver. Why should I get my Advanced Open Water Diver certification?
In addition to gaining more experience and learning about different types of specialty dives, the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification allows you to dive deeper - literally! As a PADI Open Water Diver, your maximum depth limit is 18 meters, whereas the Advanced certification extends this to 30 meters, giving you access to most dive sites around the world. - Which 5 Adventure Dives should I choose for my PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course?
Two dives are mandatory for all AOW students - the Deep Dive and the Underwater Navigation Dive. These will help you safely explore beyond 18 meters and build confidence in underwater navigation. For your remaining three dives, popular choices among our students include the Peak Performance Buoyancy, Wreck and Digital Underwater Imaging. Your instructor will also help you select the Adventure Dives best suited to your interests and local conditions. - Is the equipment provided during the course?
Yes. All necessary training equipment for your open water dives is provided by Big Blue. If you already have your own equipment, you're welcome to use it during the course.
